The Columbians Drum and Bugle Corps finished their 2016 season with a fantastic showing in Devner, CO. The Columbians scored a 57.1, good enough for 3rd place (at their season’s conclusion) in DCI’s Open Class division. The 122 member corps began with a Northwest tour and continued on to Boise, ID, Odgen, UT, and culminated in Denver. The Columbians 2016 show, entitled “Clash”, portrayed the turbulent times of the 1960’s and early 1970’s, when social movements of the time were in conflict with America’s involvement in the Vietnam War. The show opened with piece and love movement, followed by the draft and the turbulent times of war, traveled through a post war pain and healing period, and finished up with a hippie movement, including a historic VW bus.

The Columbians would like to thank the countless volunteers, parents, staff, administration, board members, donors, sponsors, alumni, and especially, the members, for making this a historic year!

  1. I know the rules on competition. Wish you could have continued. You have one h*** of a supporting cast and look at the numbers!!! I look forward to next season with a full tour. Congratulations!!!
